Athletic Businessmen

About Us

Who we are

We are Athletic Businessmen a camp dedicated to helping young athletes reach their full potential. Founded by I, Jadon Johnson, a young entrepreneur who started his first business at 14 years old and has coached youth basketball, Athletic Businessmen was built on the belief that the qualities required to succeed in sports and business are intertwined.

We’re more than a camp, we’re a movement. Our program blends the competitive nature of sports with real-world business skills, teaching kids how to win in the game and in life. Every drill, every challenge, and every lesson is designed to build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and leadership, preparing kids for success both in sports and business.

At Athletic Businessmen, we’re not just creating athletes, we’re shaping future CEOs. 💼

Why Did I Start This Movement?

I started Athletic Businessmen because I saw a real need in the community for financial literacy and business acumen especially among young people. Growing up, I realized that while kids are often taught how to play sports, they aren’t always given the tools to understand how money works, how to start a business, or how to make smart financial decisions. I wanted to change that.

As someone who started my first business at 14 years old, I know firsthand how powerful it is to understand business fundamentals from a young age. But I also know that not every kid has access to that kind of knowledge. I’ve seen talented athletes struggle once the game ends because they weren’t equipped with the skills to succeed outside of sports. I wanted to create a program where kids could develop both their athletic ability and their business mindset; giving them a foundation to succeed in any area of life.

Through my experience coaching basketball and volunteering in the community, I saw how sports naturally teach important life skills like teamwork, leadership, resilience, and strategy. I realized that those same skills apply directly to business and that by combining both, we could create a program that prepares kids to win in every aspect of life.

That’s why I created Athletic Businessmen; to give kids the chance to develop not just as athletes, but as future leaders, entrepreneurs, and confident individuals. This movement is about more than sports; it’s about giving kids the knowledge, confidence, and resources they need to thrive in the game and in life.

WHAT DOES OUR LOGO REPRESENT?

Our logo proudly represents the blend of athletics and entrepreneurship, while empowering young African American individuals to see themselves as capable of succeeding in both arenas. It serves as a reminder that with the right mindset, anyone can break barriers, excel in their passion, and build a strong foundation for their future, regardless of background or circumstance. Through this symbol, we aim to inspire the next generation of leaders who can confidently navigate the worlds of sports and business, shaping their own path to success.
