Athletic Businessmen: Where Future Champions Are Made!

Our Mission Statement

"To empower young athletes to develop the skills, mindset, and confidence needed to succeed in sports, business, and life."

Our Vision

To become the leading summer camp program in Louisiana that merges athletic development with business education, building a generation of confident, resilient, and competent leaders.

Our Motto

"Train Like an Athlete, Think Like a CEO."

This motto reflects the camp’s mission to prepare kids not only to succeed in sports but also to develop the mindset of a competent leader and entrepreneur. Just as athletes need to master discipline, teamwork, and resilience on the court, future business leaders need to sharpen these same skills along with problem-solving, decision-making, and innovation. Our program teaches kids to apply the same hustle they develop in sports to real-world business challenges, helping them to grow into confident and competent leaders.

Who Am I?

My name is Jadon Johnson, and I’m the founder and head coach of Athletic Businessmen. I’m a 20-year-old entrepreneur from Louisiana who started my first business at just 14 years old. My business is called Sportzzheads, where I sell sports necklaces for athletes. Over the years, I’ve built and developed this business to the brink of success, learning firsthand the importance of leadership, connections, and resilience.

Alongside my business experience, I’ve always had a deep passion for sports. I’ve seen how the skills developed on the court/ field; discipline, teamwork, leadership, and competitive drive, translate directly into success in business and life. This inspired me to create Athletic Businessmen, a camp where young athletes can develop not only their athletic skills but also the business mindset needed to succeed beyond sports. My goal is to teach kids how to compete, strategize, and lead, whether they’re on the court or in the boardroom.

From a young age, I’ve always believed in the power of sports and community. That’s why I’ve been actively involved in my local community, volunteering my time to help kids develop both on and off the court.

I’ve had the privilege of coaching youth basketball, teaching not only the fundamentals of the game but also the importance of teamwork, discipline, and confidence. Seeing the growth and excitement in young athletes has inspired me to create Athletic Businessmen.

My experience in coaching and community work has taught me that success isn’t just about winning; it’s about building character, learning from setbacks, and developing the skills needed to thrive in life. Athletic Businessmen is my way of teaching and helping the next generation succeed.

An Average Day at the Athletic Businessmen Camp

  • Campers arrive, sign in, and participate in a morning icebreaker to get to know each other.

A brief group stretching and warm-up session follows, preparing campers for the day’s activities.

  • Campers are divided by age group and participate in a sports training session, focusing on developing core athletic abilities.

Training includes team drills, individual skills practice, and fun challenges like shooting contests.

  • Campers gather in their teams for a business education session, where they learn about business fundamentals, such as marketing, budgeting, or entrepreneurship.

These sessions are hands-on and age-appropriate, using real-world examples related to the camp’s sports theme.

Some days, we'll watch Shark Tank episodes to help the kids learn about negotiation and value.

  • A supervised lunch break where campers relax and socialize with their teammates.

Friday Lunch: A special meal is provided, such as pizza or a BBQ, to wrap up the week.

A Video Game will be available for the kids to compete and have fun during lunch.

  • Campers take part in a unique business activity each day (such as developing a business pitch or negotiating a deal).

Activities are designed to engage campers with real-world business concepts in a fun, interactive format.

  • The day concludes with another round of sports competitions, where teams face off in games, relays, or skill challenges.

Team-building activities such as team exercises or group decision-making challenges are also included to reinforce collaboration and leadership.

  • Campers are dismissed for the day, with a reminder to bring their lunch for the following day’s camp.

Parents pick up their children, and the next day’s schedule is briefly shared.

If kids have to be picked up later, it’ll be a charge of $5 an hour until pickup.

  • On weekends, games and tournaments will be held to allow campers to showcase their athletic skills in a competitive environment. We will be going up against other leagues and programs.
